Had a 3pm appointment and the Dr was running behind but at least he sent one staff out to explain that … really appreciate being informed. Dr Gillman was very attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Good communicator and listener to patient specific concerns and questions. Surgery and recovery went better than expected. Definitely would recommend Dr Gillman for consultation and for surgical procedure if needed.

I've been a patient of Dr. Fernandez (for a couple of different injuries) for several years, and have always appreciated his approach and decisions. I've recommended him (and Austin Sports Medicine in general) to multiple friends and family members, and everyone has had positive experiences.

Dr. Coscullullea may be an excellent surgeon, but my office visit with him left much to be desired. He airily dismissed the two podiatrists I'd previously visited for ankle tendinitis by stating "Anyone with a degree can become a podiatrist." He also remarked that orthopedically correct shoes are "Made in China and worthless," even though I told him my shoes helped me a great deal. After performing a thorough physical exam of my ankle and foot, he diagnosed me with Achilles tendinitis and peroneal tendinitis -- both of which are painful conditions -- yet stated "I don't know why your ankle hurts you." When I asked if I should continue to take Tylenol for pain and Ibuprofen for inflammation, and in what dosages, he waved his hand and scoffed, "Do whatever you want." He then scheduled me for an MRI but told me he didn't expect anything negative to show up on the MRI. Throughout my visit, his attitude was smug, supercilious, and dismissive. His sneering opinion of my podiatrists and GP was uncalled for and unprofessional. I cancelled my MRI appointment and return visit. Dr. Cosculluela's office staff was very prompt, helpful, and polite, and I appreciated their support. However, I cannot recommend Dr. Cosculluela.

Dr. Fernandez is warm, focused, and upbeat. He is very thoughtful and helped me with my problem.

I'm very thankful to have had Meghpara do my hip replacements. He never pushed me to surgery, but when I knew it was time, he did a great job and I feel much better. Can't recommend enough.

Dr Elenz is professional and personable.

The absolutely best doctor I have ever had. He did an extensive repair to my tendons in my hip. Both he and his PA Romero were great. Dr. Meghara is kind, considerate, through, listens and a very very talented surgeon. You will be most glad to have chosen him as your hip surgeon.

Dr. Fernandez has provided great care for my injured back. I found out about Austin Sports Medicine through online research, but have also learned the Austin Sports Medicine doctors and PT are also providing care for a number of my tennis colleagues. Everyone of us consider this group to be the "go to" source for any orthopedic issue.

Jena and the entire PT crew have done an excellent job of getting me back on track from by bad back. Austin Sports Medicine and PT provides great care.

Positive Experience: Dr. listened to what was going on with pain issues, manipulated stressed area to confirm where pain is. Dr. Fernandez had me X-Ray'd in office, then shared the options for treatment.

Dr Gillman explained thoroughly what trigger finger surgery would be like, what I could expect on the day of surgery, and how he'd coach my recovery after the surgery. I felt like I understood well enough to make a good informed decision on whether to follow through or not. I appreciated his thoroughness.

Dr meghpara is a great doctor. I have had some hip issues and a torn hip labrum. He didn’t recommend surgery yet and I appreciate the help he has given me. I recommend him highly.

The appointment with therapist Jesse Ortiz was very helpful. He was very kind and professional. I arrived with discomfort in my right wrist, and he gave me a massage that felt almost magical—I felt immediate relief. He also showed me some exercises, which have been very helpful. Overall, his work was excellent.

Extremely efficient and professional - every step of the way. Dr. Elenz and his staff made this procedure as easy as possible.

Dr. Gillman is excellent! He explains his diagnosis and observations clearly and in an understandable manner and lets you know your options with no pressure. My surgery experience was excellent (nurses and support staff are also excellent) and my post-op experience is going very smoothly!

Dr. Elenz, Myra and team are amazing. My daughter tore her ACL, MCL and Meniscus 2 years ago and underwent surgery. Fast forward, recently she sprained her patella and MCL on the same knee. The team is experienced, professional, with outstanding bed side manners that makes this experience as palatable as possible under the circumstances. Andrew is my daughter's physical therapist and he too is a blessing!

He presented what he perceived to be the problem with my wrist and went over the various options to deal with it. I was pleased with his demeanor and his advice on how to proceed going forward.

Dr. Gillman is the man! Great doctor and super helpful. Nothing but good things to say, he’s been super helpful with my hand’s arthritis and my torn labrum.

I had a terrible break on my right arm at the shoulder and pretty much lost use of my arm until Dr. Gillman set me up with Michael Pickel. In three months he had me back to 95% and mostly normal. At the three month point, I had to leave the area but I continue with many of the exercises he gave me, my strength is back, and my right arm and shoulder are stronger than the left. What’s funny is there were times when I thought I had Mike licked as I thought I had worked past the exercises he gave me. I was proven wrong more than a few times, because he’s got very many PT routines up his sleeve. I am very fond of Mike and I’m sorry I had to leave. Mike gave me his business card, which I have, and told me to call anytime I need help. I very highly recommend him and his crew. They truly care about their patients. They’re professional and strive to get you better than you were before!

Still recovering from an ankle replacement, but a drastic improvement from where I began. Radical surgery but improved my life.

My appointment was at 2 o’clock, I was called in at just after I arrive. The nurse took out my stitches from surgery and then Dr. Ellen came in and explained everything thoroughly and showed me the images from my surgery. Quick and easy as usual. Great practice!

I am really happy with the ACL reconstruction Dr. Meghpara did two years ago... it even held up during another knee injury that I recently had... I really appreciate that Dr. Meghpara always works with and respects my personal and professional goals in developing a treatment plan and alternatives so I don't have to give up everything after an injury... and his assistant, Romero Puga, has been another key part to getting me on my feet quickly by answering emails and calls as quickly as possible and helping me solve other logistical problem in my treatment. I am so grateful to both of them for their help!
