Front desk ladies are always kind, empathetic, very helpful and professional. Clean environment. Pleasant atmosphere. Dr J. Taylor Lackey is professional, knowledgeable, and very well manages his time. Most of my visits, I have be able to see him in just 5 minutes. Only one time that I needed to wait about half an hour. Overall never a very long wait. Dr. Lackey well planed and it really helped saving patients’ time. When he knew the reasons of my visit, he ordered me for an x-ray in prior to see him, and he told me that I could call to get an MRI order without the need to go to his office again. I have seen Dr. Lackey for my tennis and golf elbows, my dislocated tendon at my pinky finger, and lately a lump at my inner elbow. He is very attentive and provided me with the necessary physical therapy and medication. Claudia, Dr. Lackey’s Medical Assistant, has been very kind, considerate, and attentive. She has tried her best to coordinate the doctor’s orders and the x-ray unit in order to make it as fast and effective as possible. She has gone over everything slowly to make sure I understand everything right. Maybe the clinic has been too busy lately causing me a hard time reaching her. I left 2 voice messages and have been waiting over 48 hours, but never got a call back. I needed to leave the 3rd message before getting a call back causing me almost unable to get my MRI scheduled before my long trip. The front desk ladies or the scheduling ladies are very nice, always very helpful and are excellent at their jobs! When she knew I couldn’t get a schedule at Austin Sports Medicine Lab, she recommended me 3 other labs in Austin and the near by areas and fax out my MRI order to all other labs right away. Finally, I could get my MRI scheduled on the last day before my traveling. I have experienced some difficulty at the x-ray unit inside Austin Sports Medicine. I have had conditions at both of my arms, but the x-ray technologist did the x-ray only one of my arms. I told him right away, but he refused to check even if I asked him politely and more than one time. When Claudia found out, she talked to the technologist and asked him to do the x-ray again for my another arm. Instead of fixing the mistake and having me next in line, he seemed upset and put me the last in line! And this time I waited over 30-40 minutes and still couldn’t get an x-ray. Ended up Claudia told me that Dr. Lackey would pull my old x-ray for my another arm, so I didn’t need to wait longer. I just wish the technologist was cared to listen to patients and spent a little time double check things. It could help prevent the mistakes from happening and save a large a mount of time for both patients and himself. In Sum: I highly recommend Austin Sports Medicine and Dr J. Taylor Lackey!

He took his time examining me and also did some x-rays and meds for my pain. He showed me pictures after x-rays were completed and explain each picture.

I initially came to Dr. Cosculluela for a second opinion on sesamoidectomy surgery after two-plus years of pain from chronic sesamoiditis. I ended up choosing Dr. C as my surgeon, which turned out to be a great decision. He thoroughly explained all the risks and potential benefits in a calm, straightforward, and transparent manner. He answered every one of my (many) questions along the way with patience and care. The surgery went really well, and my recovery was easier than anticipated. Dr. C was thorough with post-op checkups and recovery guidance, helping me get back on my feet fast. Fantastic doctor and surgeon!

Lived for 2 years with hip pain. Dr Meghpara diagnosed my issue and recommended total hip replacement. The procedure went great! All my questions were answered and the pre surgery and medications were all prescribed beforehand. I was up and walking the afternoon after surgery. 6 weeks post surgery everything is great and I am to do just about anything…no more hip pain. Yea I can tie my shoes again! Very pleased with the entire process!

Excellent doctor! He determined I didn’t need a hip doctor, but rather a spine doctor. He did a very thorough exam, gave me a prescription to help me until I could see the spine specialist. I checked in early saw the doctor before my actual appointment time and was gone before the actual time of my appointment. They are so super quick but he did spend time discussing with me my issues! 10/10 STARS

My two year hip pain was diagnosed immediately and hip replacement was recommended. Awesome experience for hip replacement. All info and medications provided before surgery. Surgery went great. Up and walking first day. Never needed to used a walker. Detailed pre and post surgery instructions provided. Post surgery PT was setup without me having to do anything. Dr Neghpara is awesome and I would high recommend to anyone having a total hip replacement.

Dr Brad Gillman performed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Surgery on both my right hand{2 years ago) and on my left hand about month ago. Both hands lost the feeling of touch. I ride a motorcycle and you need to be able to feel the brake and clutch levers on the handle bars. After each surgery the problems were corrected. I'm 75 years old and still riding!! After the Surgery I was able to drive my pickup home no problems!! I am now back on the bike(2004 BMW R1150RT) Dave Faria

Dr. Cosculluela is excellent. He successfully performed complex bone fusion surgery to attach my ankle to my tibia after the ankle had broken into 3 pieces. Baylor Hospital in Waco performed earlier surgery on the ankle, but it failed.

Had a 3pm appointment and the Dr was running behind but at least he sent one staff out to explain that … really appreciate being informed. Dr Gillman was very attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. C was very nice and explained the surgery he did on my hip. Also appreciated that he took the time to talk to my children and answered their questions and concerns. My first time meeting him; but I will see him on 3/25 at 1:15 regsrding

Dr. Coscullullea may be an excellent surgeon, but my office visit with him left much to be desired. He airily dismissed the two podiatrists I'd previously visited for ankle tendinitis by stating "Anyone with a degree can become a podiatrist." He also remarked that orthopedically correct shoes are "Made in China and worthless," even though I told him my shoes helped me a great deal. After performing a thorough physical exam of my ankle and foot, he diagnosed me with Achilles tendinitis and peroneal tendinitis -- both of which are painful conditions -- yet stated "I don't know why your ankle hurts you." When I asked if I should continue to take Tylenol for pain and Ibuprofen for inflammation, and in what dosages, he waved his hand and scoffed, "Do whatever you want." He then scheduled me for an MRI but told me he didn't expect anything negative to show up on the MRI. Throughout my visit, his attitude was smug, supercilious, and dismissive. His sneering opinion of my podiatrists and GP was uncalled for and unprofessional. I cancelled my MRI appointment and return visit. Dr. Cosculluela's office staff was very prompt, helpful, and polite, and I appreciated their support. However, I cannot recommend Dr. Cosculluela.

Dr. Fernandez is warm, focused, and upbeat. He is very thoughtful and helped me with my problem.

I'm very thankful to have had Meghpara do my hip replacements. He never pushed me to surgery, but when I knew it was time, he did a great job and I feel much better. Can't recommend enough.

The absolutely best doctor I have ever had. He did an extensive repair to my tendons in my hip. Both he and his PA Romero were great. Dr. Meghara is kind, considerate, through, listens and a very very talented surgeon. You will be most glad to have chosen him as your hip surgeon.

Dr. Fernandez has provided great care for my injured back. I found out about Austin Sports Medicine through online research, but have also learned the Austin Sports Medicine doctors and PT are also providing care for a number of my tennis colleagues. Everyone of us consider this group to be the "go to" source for any orthopedic issue.

Positive Experience: Dr. listened to what was going on with pain issues, manipulated stressed area to confirm where pain is. Dr. Fernandez had me X-Ray'd in office, then shared the options for treatment.

Dr Gillman explained thoroughly what trigger finger surgery would be like, what I could expect on the day of surgery, and how he'd coach my recovery after the surgery. I felt like I understood well enough to make a good informed decision on whether to follow through or not. I appreciated his thoroughness.

Dr meghpara is a great doctor. I have had some hip issues and a torn hip labrum. He didn’t recommend surgery yet and I appreciate the help he has given me. I recommend him highly.

The appointment with therapist Jesse Ortiz was very helpful. He was very kind and professional. I arrived with discomfort in my right wrist, and he gave me a massage that felt almost magical—I felt immediate relief. He also showed me some exercises, which have been very helpful. Overall, his work was excellent.

Dr. Elenz, Myra and team are amazing. My daughter tore her ACL, MCL and Meniscus 2 years ago and underwent surgery. Fast forward, recently she sprained her patella and MCL on the same knee. The team is experienced, professional, with outstanding bed side manners that makes this experience as palatable as possible under the circumstances. Andrew is my daughter's physical therapist and he too is a blessing!

He presented what he perceived to be the problem with my wrist and went over the various options to deal with it. I was pleased with his demeanor and his advice on how to proceed going forward.

I had a terrible break on my right arm at the shoulder and pretty much lost use of my arm until Dr. Gillman set me up with Michael Pickel. In three months he had me back to 95% and mostly normal. At the three month point, I had to leave the area but I continue with many of the exercises he gave me, my strength is back, and my right arm and shoulder are stronger than the left. What’s funny is there were times when I thought I had Mike licked as I thought I had worked past the exercises he gave me. I was proven wrong more than a few times, because he’s got very many PT routines up his sleeve. I am very fond of Mike and I’m sorry I had to leave. Mike gave me his business card, which I have, and told me to call anytime I need help. I very highly recommend him and his crew. They truly care about their patients. They’re professional and strive to get you better than you were before!

My appointment was at 2 o’clock, I was called in at just after I arrive. The nurse took out my stitches from surgery and then Dr. Ellen came in and explained everything thoroughly and showed me the images from my surgery. Quick and easy as usual. Great practice!

I am really happy with the ACL reconstruction Dr. Meghpara did two years ago... it even held up during another knee injury that I recently had... I really appreciate that Dr. Meghpara always works with and respects my personal and professional goals in developing a treatment plan and alternatives so I don't have to give up everything after an injury... and his assistant, Romero Puga, has been another key part to getting me on my feet quickly by answering emails and calls as quickly as possible and helping me solve other logistical problem in my treatment.
