Joined Austin Sports Medicine in August 2010. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where he graduated at the top of his class. He then moved to Chicago to complete his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery, where he was elected Chief Orthopaedic Resident in his final year. Dr. Manuel completed his fellowship in joint reconstruction at Cornell University’s Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). Working with world-renowned faculty and pioneers in joint replacement surgery, he was elected by the faculty as the Most Outstanding Operative Fellow. Dr. Manuel is specifically trained in minimally invasive surgery, unicompartmental knee replacement, computer navigation, complex reconstructions, and hip resurfacing. He is committed to helping his patients to maintain an active lifestyle for as long as possible.
Dr. Manuel is an avid sports fan, especially the UT Longhorns. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas, he knew that Austin was where he eventually wanted to practice medicine. |
